The Development of Ancient Egypt
The Egyptians settled in an area near the Nile river, which made it a plentiful
region for trade, farming, and agriculture, and the Nile made the civilization accessible for trade. The hot weather in Africa affected the early development od African cultures in many ways. First, the unavailability/lack of water made it difficult to farm, as water was highly essential for farming. Farmers who were not located near water sources were at a huge disadvantage, as they had trouble keeping there crop alive and thriving. This all limits the development of a culture as the dry weather created a setback for almost everything in the society. Eventually, the development of irrigation minimized this problem. Irrigation is the artificial application of water to the land or soil, and it was the reason that development of Ancient Egypt was a success.
